“Tuesday moderate fine day. Arose early in the morning and send off Adaline Putman whom I have now sent to Littleton- hired Hemminway black man to carry her- let him have our horse and provision for both of them- 6 cents for the horse and 50 cts cash this to pay him for his time and trouble- he to return in three days”
